Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is not super close to town, so if you're splitting costs with someone or planning to stay longer and don't have a car, I would recommend renting one, especially if you want to explore sights like the glacier fields or Maligne Lake without booking a tour. The rooms had some issues with stained bed sheets and a bit of dirt on the floor. However, they were only heated up to 62°F, which might not be the ideal temperature for everyone. On the upside, the service was excellent with very helpful and knowledgeable staff who were also prompt in responding to inquiries. The location offered a picturesque view of snow-covered surroundings and was just a 5-minute walk from Jasper Town. The dining options had some shortages towards the end, but the hotel included a barbecue which was a nice touch.
The hotel offers clean and quiet rooms, forcing you to venture out and explore the surroundings. The service is welcoming and available even for late check-ins. The location is comfortable and cozy, perfect for starting hikes but a bit far from downtown without a car. Dining options are good but may run out of items towards the end. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
I found the hotel to be a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were very dusty, but surprisingly clean and quiet despite the crowded area. However, a better way to contact them for late check-ins would have been appreciated.
The hotel had a great location close to town, but the rooms were really hot and stuffy. The service was friendly and helpful, but the train noise was bothersome. Dining was good with delicious options, and the facilities were adequate.
I loved my stay at the hotel! The rooms were really good overall, but they had the old-fashioned hot and cold water taps that were a bit tricky to control the temperature. They were also a bit dusty when I arrived, which was a slight downside. However, the service was outstanding; the staff were knowledgeable about the area, warm, welcoming, and proactive in ensuring I had a great stay. The location was amazing as it was very close to Jasper Skytram and just a short drive from town, perfect for exploring by foot. The dining experience was delicious, although they did run out of some items towards the end. On the downside, the price seemed a little high for what was offered. Overall, a great place to stay!
The hostel is a great starting point for hiking to the top of Whistlers mountain and offers beautiful views of the snow-blanketed surroundings. The friendly staff take good care of the hostel, although there were some issues with a malfunctioning toilet. The location is convenient being close to downtown Jasper, but it's a bit isolated with only a small home hardware store nearby.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The location was great for hiking and getting a quiet night's sleep, but it was a bit far from Jasper town. The rooms were quite new, but there was an issue with the odor and many guests coming in late with flashlights. The service was a bit inconsistent, with some staff being moody but one particular person being extremely nice and helpful.
The hostel offers a well-equipped communal kitchen and bathroom. The common room can be noisy even after 10 pm, and the rooms tend to get warm in September. Overall, a decent stay with some noise and temperature issues.
The hotel is nestled in a lovely location, offering a cozy and comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and full of great local knowledge, providing excellent service. However, the dining experience had some hiccups towards the end. The facilities are modern and well-kept, contributing to a pleasant overall stay.
The hotel is perfect for those who enjoy hiking and desire a quiet night's sleep, but it might be a bit challenging for backpackers due to its distance from Jasper town. The rooms are spacious and modern, but lack some amenities like a closet or ironing board. The dining experience offers delicious meals, but at times the service can be slow. Overall, a value-for-money option with stunning views and convenient access to the Jasper Skytram.
The hotel offers spacious rooms but lacks some comfort for the price. The service was friendly and helpful, although there were some issues with odors. The location is convenient for exploring Banff. The dining experience was good, with a slight issue of running out of some items. Overall, it's a decent option with room for improvement.
The hotel rooms were good, not great but not bad, with a very basic feel that almost resembled a hospital room. Despite that, they had everything my partner and I needed and were very cozy with views over the mountainside. The service was knowledgeable and friendly, offering excellent hike advice, returning my lost tablet, and helpful assistance with laundry. The location was big with lots of things to do during downtime, though not super close to town, recommending renting a car for easier access to sights like the glacier fields or Maligne Lake. The dining experience was delicious, running out of some items towards the end. Overall, it was a nice stay with friendly staff, good kitchen facilities, and beautiful surroundings, but lacking in some room aspects and dining variety.
